A Community in Mourning:
The entire community are devastated, beyond consoling at the passing of the late Jack Conlon on Friday night. Jack was just ten years old, a lovely friendly, caring, innocent lad, who bore his illness with extreme dignity, always amazed at people’s concern, always upbeat and optimistic. In just ten years, whether it was family circle, relatives, his school peers, football colleagues, medical staff, clergy, Jack was loved by one and all.
For his parents, Miriam & Victor, his brother Ryan and sister Sarah, it’s unbearable to imagine their grief, Jack was their youngest child, loved by each of them, and for the last year each of them bore the stress of his illness, felt his pain, and now we must all pray for strength for them to face forward. Courage and God’s guidance to accept their loss. To Jack’s Grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family we offer our sincerest sympathy. Jack was laid to rest in St. Marys Latton on Monday afternoon, the enormity of the attendance and guards of honour was testimony to an angel in our midst, and to witness old and young class mates all sheding tears was a moving tribute to a great character.
Jack will never be forgotten. May God’s love help them, and may he rest in peace.

The Late Shane Farmer (Annescue):
The death took place early Saturday, morning of the late Shane. Shane a postman and farmer, was in his 91st year. He had reasonable health for most of his life, was a good neighbour and friend and was adored by his grandchildren.

Shane was predeceased by his wife Maisie and is survived by his sons, Frank, John, Eugene and daughters Peggy & Alice and sister Brigid, sons in laws, daughters in laws, and a large circle of friends. It is very hard saying goodbye to a parent, we must celebrate Shane’s long life. May he rest in peace.

Community Alert:
Everyone in the area should be vigilant for any activity that is unusual or strange vehicles, this is now essential and neighbourly.
